Scott Acton
Founder/CEO
Successful entrepreneur, third generation craftsman and Forté founder. Attended “Disney University” like the generations before him. Transformed a two-employee start-up to $12 million/year in only two years. Named U.S. Small Business Administration’s Small Business Person of the Year. Continues three generations of creative execution of the world’s most iconic experiential spaces.
Luke Jackson
COO
Second-generation commercial construction professional. Worked on many high-profile projects in the Southwest United States, including the $4 billion The Palazzo while in The Venetian Development Department at Las Vegas Sands. Holds a B.S. with high honors in construction management from Boise State and interned at NASA as a project engineer.
Scott Bulloch
CFO
Scott has been an accounting and finance professional for over 20 years, serving in roles at Ernst & Young and Deloitte & Touche and in corporate positions, including CREEL, Huntsman Corporation and others. Scott is a third generation Las Vegas native. He is a graduate of BYU with a Bachelors in Accounting, a Masters in Tax and an MBA (Master of Business Administration). Scott maintains his CPA certification in Nevada and Utah.
Travis West
VP of Development
Over 15 years of construction experience, from field labor to corporate executive. Travis West holds a bachelor’s degree in corporate finance and has managed a $1.5 billion commercial real estate portfolio. Worked lead on several high-profile developments including Project Manager at Veer Towers - City Center.
Jim Howard
VP of Estimating
Has more than 35 years of experience in manufacturing as well as specialty and general contracting. Complete range of capabilities including sales, project management, company management and design. Point man for renowned architects, designers, and construction management firms throughout the world. Holds degrees in both Engineering and Architecture.
Robert Gross
Senior Estimator
Robert has over 35 years experience in the construction industry and graduated from P.I.T. in 1981 with a diploma for Architectural / Structural Drafting & Design. His experience results in profecient budgeting and estimating all the way through completion and close out of all projects. He does not strive to do a single project for a client, but to repeatably be the contractor of choice based on past performance and quality.
Allen Brown
Controller
Allen brings over 25 years of construction accounting to Forte. He has worked for general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in the past. His various industry experiences include steel fabrication, landscaping, equipment rental, construction flooring, underground utilities, and even software consulting. He, also, brings an MBA from University of Phoenix as well as the Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional designation.
Kim Haddock
Project Director
Kim is a second-generation construction professional, Las Vegas native and UNLV graduate. She was part of the family business while growing up and continued her construction industry career shortly after graduation from UNLV. Her experience, education and training combined with a natural talent for organization and team work allow her to excel as a project engineer.
Ivan Milosevic
Senior Technical Director
Ivan graduated from the University of Belgrade with a Masters of Architecture. He successfully built his career in his home country of Serbia, and was one of the lead designer/project managers on commercial and luxury residential projects. In 2007, Ivan and his family moved to the United States where he worked as a design and engineering project manager on high-end residential and commercial remodeling construction projects. Ivan has touched almost every project in his four years with Forte Specialty Contractors.
Frank Schirka
Safety Director
Frank brings 33 years of construction experience to Forté. He directs the safety operations on-site and in the office. His proven leadership, strong ability to develop, motivate and guide a team towards achieving a zero-incident job site. His efforts have secured Forté an experience modification rate of 0.75. Frank’s safety core values earned him the Golden Gate Award two years in a row with Cal/OSHA on the LAX Tom Bradley International Terminal.
Dayn Messinger
Estimating
Dayn completed his Associates degree in Business Management and extended his education in Construction Management, Print Reading and Accounting. With construction being the family trade for over 60 years, it is no surprise this is where he excels. Dayn achieves high standards by embracing change and adapting to challenges, qualities that allow him to rise above competitors.
John Purkey
General Superintendent
John has 25 years of experience providing leadership for on-site field administration, supervision and technical management for construction projects in Las Vegas and California. He can organize field operations and simultaneously oversee multi-million dollar projects ranging from heavy industrial to the hospitality and gaming industry.
Jodi Hope
Accounting and Finance
Jodi brings 20+ years of office management experience working at various manufacturing and general contracting firms. She has a Master of Business Administration Degree with a concentration in Accounting graduating with distinction and also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management/Economics graduating Magna Cum Laude. Her attention to detail and being a perfectionist with paperwork adds value to Forte’s team.
Gladys Spencer
Project Manager
Gladys began her career in Michigan as the Compliance Manager of Detroit’s first gambling establishment, Greektown Casino. Her love of construction eventually brought Gladys to Las Vegas in 2006 and she worked in estimating and project management with Breslin and Perini Builders before joining Forte. Gladys holds a B General Construction License.
Michelle Chavez
Contract Administration
A Wyoming native, Michelle studied accounting in college and moved to Las Vegas to work with a theming contractor. She has been working in the theming and construction field for 22 years, 13 years in Las Vegas. Her experience and skill for multi-tasking allow her to excel in her role as Project Coordinator and Contract Administration in a very fast paced, challenging work environment.
